Idol group Infinite’s leader Kim Sung-kyu is solidifying his place in the K-pop industry as an individual musician.

The singer’s second mini solo album titled “27,” containing six songs, has ranked first on Hanteo Chart, a statistics aggregator for album sales volume, for the week ending May 17.

“27,” released May 11, was spotlighted for being produced by popular Korean indie band Nell’s lead vocalist Kim Jong-wan, who is also a senior musician under Woolim Entertainment.

Sung-kyu is now actively participating in various television programs with double title songs, “Kontrol” and “It has to be you.”
