K-pop star Psy narrowly escaped the deadly shooting rampage at a military training camp on Wednesday, local media reported.

Psy’s agency said that “Psy had been at the Naegok-dong military training camp as a reservist.”

According to the Army, a reservist “opened fire on his colleagues while receiving training at a military camp at around 10:44 a.m. today.” The reservist opened fire, killing one of his colleagues and wounding three others before committing suicide.

Psy had asked permission to leave early due to his afternoon schedule, so he was not present when the shooting took place.
