Seolhyun, Jonghyun to star in vampire high school drama

K-pop singers Seolhyun and Lee Jong-hyun attended a press conference Tuesday for an upcoming high school TV drama entitled "Orange Marmalade."

Seolhyun, who previously played a supporting role in the crime film "Gangnam Blues," will take on the lead role of an undercover vampire student in the drama series. Seolhyun belongs to seven-member girl group AOA.

Lee, who is a member of boy group CNBLUE, will play a cold-blooded vampire who targets female students.

"After watching a lot of foreign productions, I realized that vampires ... can be considered sexy in the West," said Lee. "As a result, I tried to showcase my base natural side in the ruthless ... role."

The male lead character of "Orange Marmalade" is played by actor Yeo Jin-goo, formerly a child actor. Yeo, 17, will play a model student and "good boy" at the high school.

"Orange Marmalade" kicks off on Friday at 10:35 p.m.
