Korean actress Lee Ha-nui will star in an upcoming sci-fi film, according to her management Thursday.

The former Miss Korea recently played a supporting role in period TV drama "Shine or Go Crazy," which concluded with the highest viewer ratings on April 8.

The upcoming film, literally translated "Robot Sounds," tells the tale of an artificial intelligence robot who makes an emergency landing on earth, and becomes separated from his daughter and satellite.

Male actors Lee Sung-min and Lee Hee-joon are confirmed cast members.

Lee was crowned Miss Korea in 2006. She currently hosts the beauty and style TV program "Get It Beauty."
