K-pop boy group BTS took first place in Mnet’s music program “M! Countdown” on Thursday.

The seven-member group won with their song “I Need You” in a performance battle against female quintet EXID.

The group thanked the program’s staff, their agency and fans for the win.

“I Need You” is the lead title of the album, which was released April 29.
