Big Bang storms the music scene

K-pop group Big Bang’s latest tracks “Loser” and “Bae Bae” are storming the local and global music charts since their release on May 1.

A ballad rap song “Loser” has nabbed the first place on eight local music charts, including Melon, Mnet, Bugs, Olleh and Genie, for four consecutive days, while the hip-hop track “Bae Bae” has clinched the second place on nine local music charts.

“Loser” is also topping the iTunes chart in six different countries, including Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Big Bang’s latest songs are part of the project album “MADE.” The first EP, “M” -- taking the first alphabet of the project name -- unveiled two tracks, “Loser” and “Bae Bae” on May 1.

“A” will be released on June 1 and will be followed by “D” and “E” on July 1 and Aug.1, respectively.
