Tao, Chinese member of the K-pop act EXO recently rumored to be thinking about leaving the group, will hold a birthday party with fans in Beijing, according to Tao’s fan club Monday.

“This birthday party is held specially for the Hailangs (fans) who have always supported him. Tao looks forward to making unforgettable memories,” Chinese fan club “BaiduTaobar” wrote on Weibo.

One-hundred and fifty fans will be selected through lucky draw to join the party on May 2.

For his birthday present, Tao’s fans are building a forest in the star’s name in Gangnam, Seoul.

Since injuring an ankle in an entertainment television program in January, Tao has been resting and has avoided stage and screen appearances.

On April 22, Tao’s father posted a letter on Weibo, requesting the Korean label SM Entertainment to nullify his son’s contract.

The embattled star wrote on Weibo on April 26, “Sorry. Thank you.”
