Yoona, a member of popular K-pop group Girls’ Generation, was named as the new honorary ambassador for the National Tax Service, along with actor Song Seung-hun, on Thursday.

Earlier, the two received a presidential award for being exemplary taxpayers on March 3, the annual taxpayers’ day.

“Song Seung-hun and Yoona are not only faithful taxpayers, but also continuously gave donations and performed various activities of social responsibility,” explained the official at the tax agency for selecting the recipients.

They will participate in various promotional activities for two years to promote Korean citizens’ duty to pay taxes.
