Minho of K-pop boy band SHINee and Suho of idol group EXO are gearing up to make their debut on the big screen, local news reported Thursday.

An official from SM Entertainment said in a phone call with a local news outlet Wednesday that Minho and Suho have confirmed to star in the local films ”Late Spring Grandma’ (working title)” and “Glory Day,” respectively.

Featuring Minho alongside actresses Yoon Yeo-jung and Kim Go-eun, “Late Spring Grandma” tells the story of a missing girl and her grandmother who reunite after 10 years of separation.

Separately “Glory Day,” is a coming-of-age movie that centers on an overnight event that shakes the destiny of 19-year-old friends.
The film stars Ryo Joon-yeol and Suho.

Some of their fans, however, are expressing concerns over the screen debut of the two idols from SM Entertainment, as many idols from SM have failed to show a fine performance on the big screen, according to the news outlet specializing in entertainment.
