South Korean rapper Psy hit No. 1 on the Chinese QQ Music's weekly music video chart for the Chinese version of his 2005 song "Father" on Friday, his agency said.

Released on the QQ Music site on March 26, the video for "Father" topped the chart for the week of March 25-April 2, beating those for popular Chinese singers Wang Leehom and Hu Xia, YG Entertainment said.

The "Father" music video, which depicted a father who sacrifices himself to support his family in a cartoon, attracted 1.01 million views on the Chinese music service.

The Chinese-language song took first place on the QQ Music's weekly chart for K-pop songs, also updated on Friday. (Yonhap)
