According to Gaon music chart, EXO’s second studio album sold more than 440,000 copies in Korea and China on March 30-31.

It marks the first album that sold more than 400,000 copies in the first quarter.

The 10-track album came nearly a year after its previous album “Overdose,” which was released last May.

The new album contains songs from various genres, including dance, R&B and ballads. World-renowned producers such as the Underdogs, Teddy Riley, Stereotypes and Kenzie took part in its production.

The song “Call Me Baby” is being well received by music fans, making it into the top five of major local music charts.

Debuting in 2012, the Korean-Chinese band rose to fame in Korea and China after its first full-length album titled “XOXO (Kisses & Hugs)” was released a year later.

Its repackaged version sold more than 1 million copies in 2013, making EXO the first group in 12 years to hit the K-pop milestone.

The second most selling album was CNBLUE member Jung Yong-hwa’s solo album “One Fine Day,” released in January. It sold a cumulative 180,000 copies so far.
