Song Hye-kyo heads for China for ‘My Brilliant Life’
Actress Song Hye-kyo left for Beijing on Wednesday to attend promotional events for her movie “My Brilliant Life,” which is set to be released in China on Friday.
The director, Lee Jae-yong, accompanied her while costar Kang Dong-won was unable to join them because of his work in the new movie “Black Priests.”
“My Brilliant Life” is about the parents of a 17-year-old diagnosed with an extremely rare disease that makes him age prematurely and rapidly.
The film drew 1.5 million local viewers when it hit theaters in South Korea last September. A month later, it was released in Hong Kong, and the two stars flew there to meet their fans in October.
The 33-year-old actress is set to attend a premier preview, press briefing and interviews during her stay in China.
