Actor Kim Soo-hyun on Wednesday received an award for being a model taxpayer by the local tax office, which picks citizens having paid taxes faithfully every Tax Day.

He is said to have attended the event quietly without informing reporters on the day, and later it was reported by one local media outlet.

The 27-year-old actor has reportedly made tens of billions of won by starring in various commercials at home and abroad.

Alongside Kim, actor Song Seung-heon and Yoona, a member of K-pop girl group Girl’s Generation, were also selected as model taxpayers on the day.

Kim is the mostly likely candidate for the hero role in KBS’ upcoming drama “Producer,” to air later this year.
