Tickets for K-pop boy band GOT7’s fan event in Thailand sold out within five minutes of going on sale, its label JYP Entertainment announced Monday.

The septet is set to hold its first-ever fan meeting in Bangkok, Thailand, on March 14.

JYP Entertainment decided to hold an additional event on March 15 after a flood of requests from Thai fans who were unable to claim one of the 9,000 tickets to the fan meeting. But tickets to the second event were snapped up within three minutes.

“Considering the Internet access and speed in Thailand, the sellout means Thai fans’ immense interest in GOT7,” the agency said. “GOT7 is doing its best to live up to the expectation.”

The rookie band has proved its popularity in the country, topping the local music chart, B2S, with its EP “GOT7 Identify Thailand Edition.”

The boys recently ended its Asian showcase tour across Asia after wrapping up promotional activities on home turf for its Korean album “Identify,” released in November.
