K-pop boy band TEEN TOP member Niel said he has much to learn from CNBLUE’s Jung Yong-hwa and SHINee’s Jonghyun, local media reported Monday.

Niel talked about his upcoming solo debut in an interview with Korean fashion magazine “High Cut.”

“Jonghyun and Jung Yong-hwa are at a higher level than me in terms of music,” he said. “Putting aside rivalry, I listen to their music and try to learn from them.”

Following in their footsteps, Niel is gearing up to debut as a soloist with an album releasing on Feb. 16.

The former child actor debuted in 2010 as a member of TEEN TOP under TOP Media founded by Andy of veteran boy band Shinhwa.
