TVXQ member Yunho’s fan club made a donation in his name to mark his birthday, local media reported Thursday.

His fan club in Korea delivered such necessities as stationery to some 60 children in need at a preschool, according to the nonprofit organization ChildFund Korea.

Yunho’s fans in the U.S. donated 3 million won ($2,750), while fans from Japan and those belonging to a Canada-U.S. fan club respectively donated about 2 million and 3.6 million won.

Yunho also contributed his appearance fee for his role in the movie “Ode to my Father” in the hope of helping children grow up with hopes and dreams.

In recent years, donations have become a norm for K-pop fans to show their love and support for their favorite idols.

In late January, fans of JYJ member Jaejoong, who formerly belonged to TVXQ, donated 10 million won to a Korean charity.

Yunho will turn 29 on Friday.
