CL, a member of K-pop girl band 2NE1, is partnering up with British band Florence and the Machine for her upcoming album, American music producer Bobby Brackin said.

In an interview with an American news outlet Brackin described CL as the best artist in Korea and said many internationally-renowned musicians were participating in producing her solo album.

Among the musicians is the English indie rock band Florence and the Machine, which was nominated for the Best New Artist for the 2011 Grammy Awards alongside Justin Bieber and Drake.

2NE1 leader CL recently announced her plan to make inroads into the U.S. market in partnership with American talent manager Scooter Braun.

Braun, who owns two record labels, has helped world-famous pop stars such as Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and Psy hit the big time on the world stage.

The 23-year-old rapper will make a much-anticipated debut in the U.S. sometime this year.
