K-pop girl band 2NE1 member CL was given an offer from Will.I.Am of U.S. hip-hop group Black Eyed Peas to participate in a collaborative project.

On Sunday, Will.I.Am wrote on Twitter that he wanted to work with CL on his upcoming album to mark the 20th anniversary of Black Eyed Peas’ debut.

In a reply to his tweet, the Korean rapper expressed her positive view, saying, “Fine!”

The two have maintained a firm friendship since Will.I.Am was featured in 2NE1’s first studio album, released in 2010. They also collaborated for a special performance at the 2011 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

CL recently signed a contract with Scooter Braun, an American talent manager, to make inroads into the U.S. market. Braun, who owns two record labels, has managed world-famous pop stars such as Justin Bieber and Psy.

She will make a much-anticipated debut in the U.S. this year.
