With just three days until the opening of the 29th Golden Disc Awards in Beijing, ardent music fans are eyeing the daily votes that will select the most influential and popular K-pop artists.

SHINee’s Taemin is currently topping the best album category with his solo album “Ace,” with EXO’s “Overdose” coming in third. Super Junior’s “MAMACITA” ranks fifth.

In the best songs section, Beast’s “Good Luck” ranks first place, trailed by Girls’ Generation’s “Mr. Mr.,” EXO’s “Overdose” and WINNER’s “Empty.”

GOT7 and WINNER are fiercely competing for the top seat in the best newcomer category. GOT7 is leading with over 1 million votes, while WINNER is close behind with about 900,000 votes.

But the rankings might change as the final tally draws near, building up anticipation for the event.

Voting is open to those who download the Golden Disc Awards’ official app WeFans, which is available at iTunes for Apple users and Google Play for Android mobile users.

Local Chinese fans are encouraged to vote through Weibo, China’s leading social media, organizers said.
