A U.S. magazine has hailed Korea’s YG Entertainment as having big achievements in the K-pop scene in 2004.

In its article released Tuesday, VICE focused on how the entertainment agency “owned K-pop and crushed 2014.”

It said the agency made impressive achievements in its successful launching of fashion brand NONAGON and cosmetic brand Moonshot. It also reported the firm had attracted investment worth $80 million from Louis Vuitton’s private equity fund, L Capitol Asia.

It also dealt with 2NE1 member CL’s contract with Scooter Braun, a famous American talent manager who owns two record labels.

The article then went into details on activities of YG artists’ -- Epik High, iKON, WINNER, Taeyang, AKMU and 2NE1’s CL.

“Most importantly, YG spent 2014 releasing some phenomenal music,” the magazine said.
