G-Dragon won the “Golden Tweet” title for recording this year’s most retweeted post among Korean users, according to Twitter Korea.

G-Dragon’s recognition is largely attributed to the immense retweets of his Twitter comment about the sunken ferry. Back in April, the Big Bang member tweeted, “Pray for South Korea,” hoping the victims of the Sewol ferry accident come back safe.

As of Tuesday, the message was retweeted a record 52,882 times and was favorited 28,404 times. According to Twitter Korea, the message has been retweeted by his fans in Asia and around the world. The 25-year-old singer has gained the most followers this year among the Korean users of Twitter, at 3,612,986.

Also on Tuesday, G-Dragon and 2NE1 member CL featured in the music video for “Dirty Vibe” by world-class dubstep DJ, Skrillex. The original song was released in March.
