Fan meets with Idol group TVXQ attracted tens of thousands of Japanese fans this year.

Drawing about 28,000 fans in the latest meeting held Thursday in Yokohama Arena, the group attracted a total of 100,000 fans in nine fan meetings in Japan this year, Japanese news outlets reported Friday.

This made TVXQ the first foreign artist group in Japan to pull in more than 100,000 fans to such events for three years in a row.

During the fan meeting, the group performed five live songs including its recent single “Time Works Wonders.” The members also participated in various fan events.

“There is no need to explain. We will show you what we have. We would like to show a live performance that will make our fans happy and touched,” the group was quoted as saying when asked about its Dome tour concert to be held in January.

TVXQ is currently preparing to hold its “TVXQ! Special Live Tour -- T1ST0RY,” which will kick off in Seoul on Dec. 6.
