Hallyu star Kim Soo-hyun was picked Monday as one of the 10 recipients of the Style Icon Awards.

The award organization CJ E&M unveiled six of 10 awardees ahead of the ceremony. These include actor Jo In-sung, actress Kim Hee-ae, girl group 4Minute, Girls’ Generation unit group TaeTiSeo and Sistar member Soyou.

The awards are given to those who inspire and lead K-culture through their own unique and fashionable style.

The 10 artists were picked from among 50 nominees based on professional evaluations, an online global vote and public research.

Themed “Seoulite, light, night,” the seventh awards ceremony will take place in Dongdaemun Design Plaza, Seoul, from 7-11 p.m on Tuesday.

Model Jang Yoon-joo and Singer Jung Joon-young will cohost the event and actress Clara and other models will emcee the red carpet before the show.

2NE1 rapper CL will perform on the collaboration stage with internationally renowned DJ Diplo. Three Style Icon Award recipients -- TaeTiSeo, 4Minute and Syou -- will also make a special performance.

The winner of the Style Icon of the Year award will be unveiled at the end of the event.

The event will be aired live on Onstyle, tvN, Mnet and other channels and will be streamed through Mnet America, Mnet Japan, Channel M, Youku and Tudou.

More than 570 million viewers are expected to watch the show, CJ E&M said.
