As the year 2014 comes to close, three popular South Korean actors are gearing up to dominate the screen -- Joo Won, Lee Min-ho and Kim Woo-bin.

1. Joo Won

Joo Won’s movie “Fashion King” is scheduled to be released on Nov. 6. The film is already pre-sold in five Asian countries including Thailand, China and Taiwan, gaining worldwide attention even before its release.

In the film, Joo Won plays the role of a high school student named “Woo Ki-myung,” who dreams of becoming a fashion king. Idol group f(x) member Sulli and actor Ahn Jae-hyun also participated in the filming.

The actor rose to popularity through various South Korean dramas such as “Bridal Mask” and “Good Doctor.“ He is currently starring in KBS2 drama “Cantabile Tomorrow.”

2. Lee Min-ho

Actor Lee Min-ho’s first lead-role movie “Gangnam 1970” is also to hit public theaters in January.

Costarring Lee and actor Kim Rae-won, the movie portrays the two men’s desire for money and friendship in Gangnam, Seoul in the 1970s when the region began undergoing a historical real estate investment period.

The film reportedly received pre-sale offers from distributors in China at an unprecedented price.

The actor has already been an Asian heartthrob through dramas “The Heirs” and “City Hunter.”

3. Kim Woo-bin

Rising Hallyu star Kim Woo-bin’s movie “The Technicians” will be unveiled in December.

Distributors from four Asian countries including China, Philippines, Taiwan and Hong Kong have confirmed that they have bought the rights for the movie after viewing a portion of the film at the Asian Film Market 2014.

Popular senior actors Kim Young-chul and Go Chang-suk and young actor Lee Hyun-woo also star in the movie.
