K-pop girl band 2NE1 is continuing to make an impression in the U.S. with its hit track “I Am the Best,” American music magazine Billboard reported Monday.

The electronic and hip-hop track “I Am the Best” was played 24 times on WBMP New York and 14 times on WODS Boston, Billboard wrote.

The magazine also said “I Am the Best” had earned its best sales week in the U.S. with 6,000 copies sold. The non-English song topped Billboard’s World Digital Songs chart, the first for a Korean act other than Psy. The track currently stands at No. 2 on the chart.

Billboard pointed out that “I Am the Best” rapidly gained recognition after being used in a Microsoft Surface Pro 3 tablet computer ad.

2NE1 is Korea’s first girl group to hold stadium shows in the U.S. The growing popularity of the track is a major win for the quartet, especially for member CL who plans to make headway into the U.S. music scene in partnership with American talent manager Scooter Braun.

Earlier this year, 2NE1’s second studio album “Crush,” released in February, took the No. 61 spot on the Billboard 200 chart, the highest rank in K-pop history.
