Hallyu star Kim Soo-hyun is to serve as a spokesmodel for global sports brand Fila.

“Kim Soo-hyun’s image as an actor suits the brand’s motive for its ‘Stylish Performance’ products,” a brand official said, explaining the background of its choice.

“As the brand operates in more than 70 countries around the world, Kim, a heartthrob in many Asian countries, will positively boost our brand image,” the company added.

Kim will appear as the model for the brand starting in November, through television commercials, social media and stores.

The 26-year-old gained worldwide popularity through SBS drama “My Love from the Star,” starring alongside actress Jun Ji-hyun.
