Singer-actor Yunho’s character Moosuk nearly faced death for being a loyal servant to the king in the MBC drama “The Night Watchman.”

In the 20th episode broadcast on Tuesday, Moosuk received a letter from King Ki-san, who is in danger of being dethroned and killed. “You are the only faithful servant I have. Please protect me, Moosuk,” the letter read.

Despite Moosuk being a night watchman who cannot be involved in political issues, the servant chose to help the king, showing his faithfulness.

However, when Moosuk entered, King Ki-san betrayed him. “They told me that if I give you up, I can be saved. Hand them your sword. Show me your last act of loyalty. Give up your live and save mine,” the king was quoted as saying.

Surrounded by armed soldiers, the trapped Moosuk was critically injured, covered with slash wounds.

According to the drama, the soul of Moosuk has not yet been removed from the body, making the viewers wonder if he can recover from injury.

“The Night Watchman” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m. on MBC.
