Korean actor Kim Soo-hyun attended a fan meeting in Beijing on Wednesday, captivating the hearts of his Chinese fans.

The fan meeting was organized by China’s biggest search engine Sogou, for which Kim serves as a brand model.

The actor said hello in both Korean and Chinese and greeted his fans.

“It’s great to see you. Are you having a good time?” Kim was quoted as saying.

When the emcee asked if Kim had noticed his own popularity in China, he answered, “The year 2014 is like a dream for me. It’s all thanks to you.”

Kim also gained attention from fans by picking Beijing duck and dumplings as some of his favorite dishes among Chinese food.

The 26-year-old heartthrob gained immense popularity in China through his most recent drama “My Love from the Star.”
