South Korean rapper Psy is shooting a music video for his upcoming track “Daddy” around major cities in Korea from Aug. 3, Korean news outlets reported Thursday.

The large-scale music video filming kicked off in Seoul on Aug. 3 and took place mainly in the capital and the southern port city of Busan.

The news about Psy’s music video shooting went viral after some Busan residents posted what they witnessed to social networking sites.

According to residents, Psy was sighted making monkey-like dance moves for an hour with an electric sign that read “Psy in the sky” against a slew of skyscrapers in the background. They raised the speculation that the moves would be Psy’s next signature dance, but it was not confirmed.

This time, Psy joined hands with old partners to make success even bigger. Cho Soo-hyun, who produced the highly successful music videos for “Gangnam Style” and “Gentleman,” is directing the music video for “Daddy,” and Hwang Min-woo, dubbed “Little Psy,” also joined the music video.

Hwang shot to stardom after appearing at the beginning of the Psy’s viral hit “Gangnam Style” where the starlet demonstrated his skillful dancing.

Psy’s forthcoming EP is garnering a great deal of attention, especially after his latest song “Hangover,” released in June, topped the 100 million mark in YouTube views on July 17, proving his steadfast global influence. Its video was also crowned the most-watched K-pop music video on YouTube for the first half of 2014.

The world star is slated to drop the much-anticipated EP “Daddy” sometime in August.
