The new web drama series “I Am,” starring Jung Chae-yeon of K-pop group DIA, premiered its first episode via the Naver V app Monday.

“I Am” is a sci-fi story about an android robot, AD. No.1. Prototype, who comes to live with two siblings, Cha Ju-yeon and Cha Eun-woo.

The robot -- played by Jung -- made her first appearance in the show by quietly revealing herself from the darkness, surprising everyone. It said her name is AD. No.1. Cha Ju-yeon names her Annie, and treats her like family.

In the episode, Annie goes to school and interacts with other family members.

The episode ends with a cliffhanger that shows Dr. Cha, Annie’s developer and the Cha siblings’ father, getting attacked by someone.
