(KBS 2TV) |
The Wednesday broadcast at 8:30 p.m. will mark the first time the series is being aired on a TV channel abroad.
The drama, costarring actor Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo, is broadcast through the local network and iQiYi, Chinese online streaming service provider, simultaneously. The 16-episode series revolves around the struggles and love of soldiers and doctors dispatched to a faraway land of Uruk. Four episodes remain to be aired in Korea and China.
Costars actor Song and actress Song -- nicknamed Song-Song couple after their chemistry in the series -- visited Hong Kong for the series’ press promotion on Tuesday. Some 400 fans reportedly greeted them.
The free-to-air channel ViuTV, operated by Hong Kong’s TV service provider HK Television Entertainment, officially kicked off in April 2015.
