Goo Ha-ra of K-pop girl band Kara will release her debut solo album on July 14.

Goo’s label DSP Media said Tuesday the 24-year-old singer would release EP “Alohara (Can You Feel It)” next week. She will join the heated summer battle of girl groups including Girls’ Generation, Girl’s Day and Apink.

The starlet is the first to make a solo debut among the four-member group Kara, which has shot to stardom with hits such as “Pretty Girl” and “Mister” since its debut in 2007.
