Winner’s Mino hard at work on iPad Pro

Mino of four-piece band Winner went live Monday while teaching himself how to use an iPad app for design and illustration.

“I haven’t dealt with illustration programs before,” he said during a solo V Live broadcast.

He said he wanted to visualize the dream stage that Winner wants to perform on. He showed pencil drawings he did for the act’s performance at the recent Golden Disc Award.

“I always work here for stage ideas,” he added.

The iPad Pro appears to be a gift from YG Entertainment chief Yang Hyun-suk. In a previous V Live broadcast, the members had revealed that Yang bought each of them an iPad Pro to encourage the bandmates as they worked on the single “Millions.”

During the 80-minute broadcast, he didn’t talk much as he focused on drawing on the tablet.

In a separate broadcast aired a few hours later, Hoony, another member of Winner, appeared on the V app, also using his own iPad Pro.

“This is my first time livestreaming with the iPad that my chairman bought me,” he said. “I like this. The screen is wide.”

Apink’s Bomi, Eunji go live ahead of album release

Bomi and Eunji of six-piece girl group Apink aired a V Live broadcast from Bomi’s home, just 20 minutes prior to the release of their eighth EP with the lead track “%% (Eung Eung).”

“We’re on air. Come quickly, Bomi. Only 20 minutes left (to the release),” said Eunji, who appeared on the V app alone at the start of the broadcast.

Bomi soon joined, and the two talked about the upcoming new music from Apink. They sang parts of “%% (Eung Eung).”

The band had dinner together, the duo said, adding that some bandmates cried because of touching fan letters.

“We will end the livestream in two minutes so that you can go listen to our new music,” they said, two minutes before the release time.

Apink’s new EP “Perfect” was released online at 6 p.m. Sunday via online music streaming and download platforms.

New boy band M.O.N.T’s snack time

Two members of rookie boy band M.O.N.T greeted fans inside a parked vehicle while eating snacks.

“We’re eating tteokbokki and stir-fried dumplings,” Roda said.

Joining him on the V Live broadcast was Bitsaeon, who spoke partly English and partly Korean.

“Where’s Hyun-woo? He’s eating alone somewhere,” they said, referring to the third member who was missing from the broadcast, Narachan, by his real name.

“Please listen to our song “Will You Be My Girlfriend?” the duo said at the end of 10-minute livestream.

The K-pop trio debuted Friday under label FM Entertainment.

All three had participated in JTBC’s reality show “MIXNINE.”
