iKON’s ‘I’m OK’ sweeps world charts

iKON shows no sign of slowing down, as its latest single “I’m OK” has been topping world charts all over the world upon its release on Monday.

Representing the act, YG Entertainment said Tuesday that the song, the lead track on the group’s repackaged album “iKON New Kids Repackage ‘The New Kids,’” topped the iTunes charts in 12 countries, including Malaysia, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Vietnam, as of Tuesday morning. The album has also topped iTunes Top Album charts in seven countries .

In Japan, the album has debuted No. 1 on its Top K-pop albums chart, while “I‘m OK” also snagged No.1 spot on the Top K-pop Songs chart and the Top Pop Songs chart.

In addition, the music video for “I’m OK” became the most popular music video on Chinese music site QQ‘s K-Pop Music Videos chart.

The song, partially composed and written by B.I and Bobby, was previously unveiled during the act’s encore concert held in Seoul on Jan. 6.

“New Kids Repackage,” which will feature a total of 23 songs including the lead track, comes just three months after the group released “New Kids: The Final” in October.
