The EXO-star plays the lead character Ro Ki-soo, a North Korean soldier at a South Korean prison camp during the Korean War. At the camp, Ro develops a passion for tap dancing after meeting Jackson, an American officer who had tap danced on Broadway.

“Do started late, but he is a true professional when it comes to dancing. He was the best out of all cast members,” Kang said in a Dec. 24 interview with YTN. “He’s got a solid foundation as a dancer,” he added.

Do previously revealed that he trained in tap dancing for over six months for the role.

The film hit local theaters on Dec. 19.
