Representing the artist, FNC Entertainment released an official statement announcing that Kwangjin would “temporarily leave the group” and go on hiatus to take time for self-reflection.

On Tuesday, an anonymous fan took to an online website called “Nate Pann” to accuse Kwangjin of being an “idol who sexually harasses fans and dates fan website operators.”

The post said Kwangjin was in a relationship with one of his fans and had asked other fans to go out with him on multiple occasions. Kwangjin was also accused of verbally and physically harassing fans. The writer went on to allege that the artist had frequently spoken ill about the other N.Flying members and said he wanted to leave the group.

Denying the allegations, FNC insisted that the singer was not in a relationship with any fans and was not guilty of sexual harassment.

However, the agency said Kwangjin would go on hiatus because “he did meet and communicate with some fans on unofficial occasions, which we consider to be inappropriate behavior.”

Amid the controversy, FNC assured the public that the remaining members of N.Flying would continue their usual activities.

N.Flying debuted in 2013 as a rap-rock band under FNC Entertainment. The act released the digital single “Like a Flower” on Oct. 26.
