IU’s “Palette” has surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, becoming the singer’s first music video to do so.

According to IU’s agency, Kakao M, the title track of the singer’s fourth LP, “Palette,” released in 2017, reached the milestone as of Sunday at 3 p.m.

“This is very meaningful as it shows IU’s global popularity even though the singer-songwriter is not active abroad,” said Kakao M. “The achievement seems like a present from fans to celebrate IU’s 10th anniversary.”

In March, the song gained recognition from the US publication The New York Times as the only K-pop track on its list of 25 “Songs That Tell Us Where Music Is Going.”

IU is currently on her 10th anniversary tour, “dlwlrma,” which kicked off in Hong Kong on Dec. 8. The tour will then take the singer to Singapore, Thailand and Taiwan.
