G-Dragon and Jimin rank high on Guardian boy band list

Big Bang’s G-Dragon and Jimin of BTS were noted by British daily the Guardian on Thursday as among the 30 best boy band members.

The two singers mark the only Asians on the list, which mostly consists of UK and US artists.

Ranked No. 11, G-Dragon was praised as the “king of K-pop.” The description added he is a multidisciplinary Korean pop star known not only as a fashion icon, but also as a capable singer, songwriter and rapper.

Jimin, No. 17, was described as a robotic choreographer who “brought the flashes of old school boy band sex appeal.”

The deceased Michael Jackson of the Jackson 5 topped the list, followed by Robbie Williams of Take That and Justin Timberlake of ’N Sync.
