Mino’s ‘Fiance’ tops chart for 12 days, beats Jennie’s ‘Solo’

Mino’s song “Fiance” topped charts in Korea for 12 consecutive days as of Friday.

It grabbed first place on the music competition program “M! Countdown” on Thursday, beating “Solo” by Black Pink’s Jennie.

“Fiance” is the lead track of Mino’s solo EP “XX,” which was released Nov. 26. The song adopts a variation of the 1980s hit song “Soyang River Maiden” and mixes it with hip-hop, creating a fresh twist and an addictive hook.

Mino participated in the songwriting and composing, as well as musical arrangement.

“XX” consists of the songs “Trigger,” “Fiance,” “Hope,” “O2,” “Rocket,” “Um...” “Lonely,” “Aurora,” “her,” “Agree,” “Bow-wow” and “Alarm.”
