High-profile K-pop singers head to big screen
Fans will be able to see a host of their K-pop stars on the big screen next year.
Although it has become commonplace to see K-pop idol singers in dramas, playing either the lead or supporting roles, it is still rare to see them in movies.
The local film industry is expected to appeal to viewers next year with high-profile signer-turned-actors including Miss A’s Suzy, EXO’s D.O. and Xiumin and Lee Seung-gi.
Miss A’s Suzy rose to stardom after starring in a local film “Architecture 101” released in 2012. Following the movie, she was nicknamed “First love of nation” and has since starred in a number of dramas including “Dream High 2,” “Big” and “Gu Family Book.”
