K-pop girl group Apink said in an interview they were able to win a number of music competition shows because of their fans’ continuous support.

“When we ranked no. 1, there were so many people we were grateful for, but we couldn’t call out all their names,” said member Park Cho-rong during an interview with local media released Sunday.

“We would like to work harder to create good music for the fans who have shown great support.”

Seven-member group Apink’s latest single, “Remember,” ranked No.1 on three music ranking TV programs, including KBS’ “Music Bank,” Mnet’s “M Countdown” and MBC’s “Show Champion,” this week.
When asked the secret behind such a feat, the members unanimously shouted “fans!”

“Whenever new music is released, our fans work harder,” said Park. “They love our music and offer heartfelt support to us.”

The girl band debuted in 2011 with “I Don’t Know.” Since then the group has released a number of hit tracks, such as “Mr. Chu” and “Luv.” Unlike many other girl groups that opt for a sexy image, Apink focuses on maintaining an innocent and pure image in their songs and performances. The band dropped its second full-length album “Pink Memory” on July 16, with its lead track “Remember” sweeping local charts.
