Apink to represent Korea at ‘MTV World Stage Malaysia 2015’

K-pop girl group Apink is selected to represent Korea at this year’s “MTV World Stage Malaysia 2015,” its label A Cube Entertainment said Wednesday.

“MTV World Stage Malaysia,” in its seventh year, is a large annual music festival that invites renowned artists from around the world. This year’s festival will be held at Sunway Lagoon Resort in Kuala Lumpur on Sept. 12. The festival will be broadcast live to over 160 countries.

In the past, global stars such as Katy Perry, Robin Thicke and Justin Bieber and K-pop artists Wonder Girls, Beast, Kara, Jay Park and EXO have performed at the festival.

Six-member Apink released its second full-length album “Pink Memory” on July 16 and has topped local charts with the title song “Remember.”
