K-pop groups Super Junior and Girls’ Generation have been nominated for the U.S.-based Teen Choice Awards 2015, SM Entertainment said Tuesday.

The groups will compete in the Choice International Artist section along with popular British boy group One Direction and Australian rock band 5 Seconds of Summer.

One Direction jointly won the Choice Male Hottie award last year.

The Choice awards show, founded in 1999 by U.S. TV network FOX, features popular and influential figures in music, movie, TV, fashion and sports categories.

This year’s awards will be broadcast live across the U.S. on Thursday at 9 p.m. --or Friday at 6 a.m. in Korea time -- from the Galen Center in Los Angeles, California.

Viewers can participate by voting for their favorite stars via Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #ChoiceInternationalAward with #SuperJunior and #GirlsGeneration until July 24.
