K-pop boy group EXO grabbed the number 1 spot in the 809th episode of “Inkigayo” on April 5.

“Inkigayo,” a weekly SBS music program that airs every Sunday at 1:15 p.m., invites a number of trending K-pop artists to compete in a performance.

The EXO members were visibly happy as the group topped the show with the new lead “Call Me Baby,” winning by a significant margin when the live fan votes were compiled.

Following this upward streak, EXO will hold a live interaction with its fans through Korea’s search giant, Naver, on Monday at 9 p.m.

Girl group Red Velvet took second place with “Ice Cream Cake,” while ballad soloist Huh Gak followed in third place by a small margin with “April’s Snow.”

Miss A, which includes Lee Min-ho’s girlfriend Suzy, was forecasted as a strong contender for EXO, but surprisingly did not fare as well as anticipated.

The female quartet’s lead title “Only You” has topped the local online music charts for seven consecutive days since its release on March 30.
