Kim Woo-bin’s latest movie “Twenty” topped the Korean box office in its first week, industry data showed Monday.

According to data compiled by the Korea Film Council, the movie brought in more than 850,000 viewers between Friday and Sunday, pushing up the total sales to 1.13 million tickets since its March 25 release.

The movie tells the story of three 20-year-olds, each with a very distinct character.

In a breakaway from his usual smooth and charismatic roles, Kim plays an unemployed ladies’ man who is not above throwing a tantrum to extort pocket money from his parents.

Kim stars with Kang Ha-neul, who shot to stardom through the recent cable network drama “Misaeng,” and Lee Jun-ho of the boy band 2PM.

Lee’s character is a wannabe cartoonist who is forced to take on any job he can find to make ends meet.

Kang, who played an ambitious newbie in the cable television drama, plays a character who is well disciplined and hardworking during the day, but transforms into a different person when drunk.
