“Call Me Baby,” from EXO’s second studio album “Exodus,” ranked No. 1 on major real-time music charts such as Melon, Olleh Music, Mnet, Naver Music, Daum Music and Soribada, a day after its release on Saturday.
“Exodus” marks the first album as a 10-member group without Chinese members Kris and Luhan, who left the band in May and October, respectively. It comes nearly a year after the 10-member band’s five-track debut album “Overdose.”
All eyes are on how EXO will fare with the new album this year after achieving great success last year with “Overdose,” with which the group dominated year-end music awards at home and abroad.
The group will showcase its live performance for the lead track for the first time on Mnet’s music program “M! Countdown” on Thursday.
The seven-track album will be made available both online and offline at noon on Monday.
With the boys’ eye-catching looks, trendy music and strong backing from SM Entertainment, EXO rapidly shot to stardom across Asia since its debut in 2012.
