T.O.P, rapper of K-pop power group Big Bang, spoke of his passion for interior design to home design magazine Maison.

The interior design and lifestyle magazine, affiliated with monthly women's magazine Marie Claire, met T.O.P at Singapore Art Week, an annual celebration of visual arts that took place in January.

"Design has given me a lot of strength in holding together my life and musical (career)," said the 27-year-old idol singer.

T.O.P is reputedly a collector of chairs, owning some 80 different brands. The rapper said he is sensitive to design, particularly in the context of a living space.

"When various objects come together around a leather sofa, I feel a good energy from that space," said T.O.P, who attended four days of the nine-day festival.

The rapper is currently planning two design and art-related projects, alongside schedules for an April comeback with band Big Bang.

The full article can be read in the March issue of Marie Claire’s Maison Korea magazine.
