WINNER, Taeyang honored in China

K-pop rookie band WINNER and Big Bang member Taeyang won honors at this year’s renowned Chinese music awards.

Taeyang earned the Super Idol honor while the five-member group WINNER seized the Most Popular Korean Band award at the Youku Tudou Young Choice 2014 on Wednesday in Beijing.

The Big Bang member was given the prize by Victor Koo, founder and CEO of the China’s largest online video platform Youku Tudou.

He performed his megahit “Eyes, Nose, Lips” after WINNER performed their debut track “Empty” at the end of the event.

The music awards will be broadcast across China on cable TV on Dec. 30.
