Returning to the stage with the group’s new ‘Pink LUV’ EP, the ladies of Apink have knocked the good boys of G-Dragon and Taeyang off their throne, topping all the local music charts on Monday with their new lead single, “LUV.”

Although the new six-track, fifth EP dropped a week later than originally scheduled due to unforeseen production needs, the album’s lead track “LUV” managed to quickly climb its way to the No. 1 spot just hours after its release on all the major online music charts including Melon, Naver, Daum, Mnet and Olleh.

The medium tempo dance pop single was co-written, co-produced and composed by famed K-pop hit producer Shinsadong Tiger. The official music video for the new single was also released on Monday.

“Pink LUV” is the first release from Apink in nearly eight months after the group’s previous EP “Pink Blossom,” featuring the girl’s hit lead single “Mr. Chu.”
