Actors Kim Soo-hyun, Lee Min-ho and Kim Woo-bin are establishing a solid foothold in China as hallyu stars, seizing immense attention and popularity there.

Kim Soo-hyun (SBS)
Kim Soo-hyun’s fame in China has skyrocketed after his appearance in the SBS drama “My Love from the Star.” He played the role of Do Min-jun, an alien who comes to Earth and falls in love with popular actress Cheon Song-yi.

The drama was so popular that its distribution rights were sold to a Chinese broadcaster at the highest price in the history of Korean dramas. The actor later visited China himself to meet his fans and is currently widening his popularity in the nation through promotional events and advertisements.

Lee Min-ho (SBS)
Lee is also one of the most popular actors in China. His past dramas “Boys over Flowers,” “City Hunter,” and “The Heirs” are still widely enjoyed among K-drama lovers in China. He also has the most followers on his Weibo account among Korean celebrities.

The actor is also the first Korean star to ally with China’s largest entertainment group, “Huayi Brothers.” With the support of the Chinese agency, Lee is actively participating in various events in the nation. Lee’s upcoming movie “Gangnam 1970” has also been confirmed to be distributed in China even before its release.

Kim Woo-bin gained attention from Chinese K-drama fans through his participation in “School 2013” and “A Gentleman’s Dignity.” His popularity skyrocketed through the SBS drama “The Heirs,” where he played the role of Choi Young-do.

His upcoming movie “Criminal Designer” is also receiving exceptional attention from countries in the region including China, Hong Kong and Taiwan. The actor is continuously participating in various promotion events to further meet his international fans.
